Susie Kleinfeldt (R) was a dear friend that lost her battle with Leukemia on July 12, 2008 at the young age of 53. As a memorial to her cousin Susie, Jane (Berry) Scales (L) wanted to "make a difference". One of Susie's best friends was my wife Sara. Sara was diagnosed with MS in 1999.

We held our second annual fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis in June, and our community blessed us again with their generosity.

Jane and Roger Scales / Ottumwa

Well a year has passed so quickly, but our Susie stays in our thoughts. Jane and Roger Scales have been hard at work fundraising for the cause. Last year they held an auction and gave all of the proceeds to MS Research on behalf of Sara and in the name of Jane's cousin Susie Kleinfeldt.

This year they held a similar auction with similar results and another outstanding donation for MS is the result. We are forever in the debt of those who unselfishly give of themselves to help others in need. If we only had 10 million Jane and Roger's, we would have 5 billion dollars to work towards the cure for MS.
